Jinx—one of Santa’s elves—is in trouble with the Big Guy. She’s been charged with bringing holiday happiness to Christopher Ragan, CEO of Wondrous Toys. It’s a big job especially when he’s more attached to the bottom of a bottle than helping his fellow man. She’s got enough trouble without spilling the secrets of the North Pole, but then along comes Natalie Burnes, a newbie CEO of Enchanted Toys and in trouble of a hostile takeover from Christopher’s company.
The woman literally crashes Christopher’s vacation plans in a tucked away Michigan cabin---and the sparks start flying. As if Jinx’s job of matchmaking the toy makers isn’t hard enough, she’s got to stay one step ahead of the North Pole patrol and keep out of sight of the humans. No way is she gonna screw up and lose her magic again. If the humans can’t find happiness and love by Christmas, Jinx forfeits her chance of seeing her true love too. What’s an elf to do?

1. When was your first snow encounter?
Ahaha. You mean those frozen-fingered fumbling encounters? Brrr, never. LOL I save that for my characters. Though it was fun when that scene in Holiday Jinx became romantic. I think in reality though, it would be rather uncomfortable. Makes me shiver just thinking of that cold wet snow getting under your clothes. That’s the cool thing about fiction. Putting your characters in situations you wouldn’t particularly enjoy is fun. I myself, like to get personal before a blazing fire with plenty of blankets and throws and maybe some wine.
2. Why did you name your character "Jinx"?
It sounded like a good name for an elf. And she’s not your usual elf, IMO. It fits her character perfectly because she’s always wanting to use her magic. She’s a little flighty too, but I love her.
3. Have you figured out who Santa is?
No. I mean I wish I have, but well the Santa I got to know in the book wasn’t as nice as the Santa I thought I knew as a child. I kind of like the nicer Santa better. This Santa in the book is well, kind of mean. I feel bad for Jinx, even though she got herself in trouble all on her own.
4. What do you do during a writer's block?
I write. LOL I know that might seem odd, but sometimes I just have to push my way through the sticky problem. Or if I’m not able to fix it, I’ll work on another project, which I have plenty of.
5. Anything you'd like to ask our readers?
Sure. What’s your favorite thing to do during the holiday season? It can be anything. I love baking with my Mom. Of course, we make too much candy and sweets, but I just love spending time with her.
Thanks to Arianne for having me here today! And good luck and happy holidays!
