"Cheng Meng"

This is the first year we bring the boys for "cheng meng", and also this is my first after 4 years long i didn't join my in laws for "cheng meng". :)

All the kids skip school on Monday, ya, every year my in laws will do it on Monday, since it is their day off. Last Monday, i wake the boys up super early at 5.45am, get them ready, we all leave the house around 6.15am, we are heading to Semenyih for "cheng meng", to avoid the traffic jam, usually we will go early.

We pass through Cheras then to Kajang, to my suprise at 6.40am it's already bumper to bumper from Kajang - Cheras and all the way to KL!!! Lucky we are at the opposite side, traffic still consider ok. Reach Semenyih, Nirwana Memorial Park around 7.30am, then in law start their praying at the temple, so do all the kids, except ME. :) After praying, they proceed to my FIL father's cementary and do the "praying". Every year "cheng meng", everyone will treat it as a family member gathering and also a "small picnic" hahahhahah, because there is a lot of foods!! I really mean FOOD - one big roast pig, roast duck, "lor mai kai", "char siew pau", chicken and packet drink, sound like picnic or not? My boys first time go, a bit excited, i sit aside, didn't join them for the eating, because the food "serve" after the offering prayer. In fact, every year i also didn't touch the food, i went, my duty is to just put the flower on the vase. This year with my two boys around, i have to keep an eye on them, make sure they don't step on the "neighbour house" and go to "other people" place and play. I think they still young and didn't know what is happening, but my boys just had fun with all the cousins around, eating, playing and drinking.

when in laws they all doing the praying, we go around and take

Brother in law in action!!!!

We left the place around 9am, then next stop is going to FIL mother's cementery at Sungai Besi. By the time we reach there, the hot sun already up high in the sky, so so hot, till everyone of us have to bring an big umbrella with us, and that place hard to find a big tree as shade. At the gradma place, we had a quick one. :) After the "praying" and burn the "big big box" then we left, of course not forget we did bring the roast pork and roast duck and bun and lor mai kai for her to "eat" also. :) we are no bias. hahahahhahah

Last but not least, a group picture! hahahhahahah

We went back home around 10.30am, so so so tired, maybe because of the hot weather. After having something simple for lunch then me, hub and my boys all went for a good 3 hours afternoon nap!
